Congratulations to Julija Sukys for winning the 2017 MU Graduate Faculty Mentor Award. Current and former students as well as colleagues in English wrote letters testifying to Julija’s care and leadership as a mentor of creative nonfiction writers and other graduate students. This prestigious, university-wide award comes with a $1500 honorarium. Julija’s students praised her supportive, attentive teaching; her wise advising during the dissertation-writing process and job search; and the excellent professional training they receive during and after the PhD process.
