Bio

Dacia Price is an interdisciplinary creative nonfiction writer with a keen interest in exploring the human, animal, and ecological bodies. She is a PhD Candidate and D.R. Francis fellow here at Mizzou. Her essays can be found in DIAGRAM, West Trade Review, New Ohio Review, Willow Springs, Storm Cellar, and others. Her essay collection “This is for the Naming” won Chestnut Review’s 2022 Chapbook Contest and her chapbook “Maah Daah Hey” is forthcoming with Flat Iron Foothills press. Her essay “Mitosis” [originally published with The Forge Literary Review] was named a notable essay in The Best American Essays anthology of 2023.
