Molly Nash is an MA candidate studying English Literature. Her interests range from contemplating the nuance of translating literature to analyzing playlists on Spotify. Their undergraduate thesis titled ‘“Unapproachable and Intimate”: An Ecocritical Consideration of Monstrosity and Reproduction in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights” explores how environmental and reproductive issues are addressed in Victorian novels and how their ‘monstrosity’ or abject nature help explain how issues within those realms pervade into the modern world. Outside of academia, you can hear them on Columbia’s own student radio, KCOU 88.1 FM, where their show, The Real McCoy, discusses the form, function, and fascination of cover songs.
