While in the PhD program here, Jo published a book of short stories, The Beach at Galle Road: Stories from Sri Lanka (Algonquin Books, 2012), and wrote an early draft of Remind Me Again What Happened, which served as her creative dissertation. Laura van den Berg (author of Find Me) has written, “Remind Me Again What Happened is a profound and elegiac exploration of the relationship between memory and identity, the way one has the power to remake the other. Joanna Luloff is a splendid writer, and this haunting novel is a wonderful testament to her gifts.” Jo is currently an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Colorado—Denver.
