The Critical Writing Workshop, a 1-credit course, aims to give graduate students the opportunity to work on their advanced critical writing. This could be a dissertation chapter, an essay that is being revised for publication, or the critical introduction to a creative dissertation. The workshop will meet regularly throughout the semester. Participants in the workshop will submit drafts of their writing ahead of the meeting in which their piece will be workshopped and receive intense feedback and discussion during the meeting. 

Please note that the Critical Writing Workshop is not for workshopping job market materials, comprehensive exam writing, or a seminar paper for a current class, as there are other mechanisms to receive feedback on these kinds of writing.
