This course is designed to prepare you for the kinds of communication you will encounter in professional contexts. What each student produces will in some ways be influenced by the needs of the students enrolled in the class. Students will explore their chosen career paths and the kinds of writing expected of those professions. Generally, we will focus on audience-driven documents typically found in professional settings. We will start with basic correspondences and job application materials, move towards projects like digital networking, memos, and presentations.
