In this course, we will analyze and practice different communication modes used primarily in professional environments. Although the specific course material will be adapted to meet the needs of those enrolled, genres will likely include business reports, emails, presentations, cover letters, resumes, and more. As we become more familiar with these genres, we will also analyze rhetorical elements such as tone, audience, purpose, and context so that we can adapt what we learn to real-world professional contexts.
