This course will focus on the primary writing modes used in professional environments. Course content will be influenced by the needs of the students enrolled in the class, but may include such genres as cover letters, emails, memos, executive summaries, formal presentations, letters to the editor, press releases, or formal reports. Students will focus on learning to write in the tone that is expected in American professional settings and will develop their professional communication skills.
