Advanced Studies in English: Careers in English (1 credit hour)

This one-credit course is designed for English students who want to prepare for the world of post-college work.

Topics covered will include:

• the range of careers students who've studied English pursue
• ways you can think about what you might be most suited for and most interested in
• how to write job materials (like resumes and application letters) and how to interview

We will complete reading and assignments designed to help with the identification and pursuit of careers. Assignments include discussion and group work, short written assignments, and brief video presentations.
