English 1210 is a survey course designed to introduce you to a range of texts and genres spanning the historical British literary tradition from the medieval to the contemporary time periods. Throughout the semester we will develop critical tools and vocabularies with which you will begin to interpret major forms of literary expression—drama, poetry, fiction, non-fiction. We’ll learn ways of critically thinking, talking, and writing about different types of literature.
