Research and Teaching

I am currently researching contemporary global fiction, particularly the ways in which borders and movement function in these novels.

During my time at Mizzou, I have taught Intro to American Literature; Intro to Film Studies; and Exposition and Argumentation.

Bio

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I am primarily interested in the ways in which the portrayal of identity in contemporary fiction has changed over the last few decades as immigration and migration becomes more accessible and more common. However, I am also interested in the role of food in fiction; how global communities might be formed and portrayed in contemporary novels; and how US literature fits into and sees its place in global fiction.
