My main area of expertise is Arabic fiction of the 20th and 21st centuries, and I am interested in how Arabic novels tell stories about the built environment (architecture, infrastructure, real estate, etc.). I have a BA in Philosophy (2015) and an MA in Literature (2017), both from Texas State University. As a Latino pursuing further graduate education, I am the recipient of a Gus T. Ridgel Fellowship for minority graduate students. I have published articles in the journals Humanities (2017) and The Cormac McCarthy Journal (2019).
