"English major? What are you going to do with that?" If you are tired of dealing with this comment from friends, family and random strangers, then this is course for you.

This course is designed for English majors (and others) interested in learning more about how to explore how their skills and interests could find expression in the working world.  It will provide opportunities for self-reflection on what you really like to do, chances to learn about a range of careers that are well-suited to the skills of the English major, and to work on materials and skills you might use in trying to get a job. We will have visits (in person and/or via Skype) from people in different careers and from career services.

Required work: regular short assignments, occasional brief presentations, preparation of job materials, and a positive and supportive attitude (well, it's not required, but it will help).
