Catherine ParkeCatherine Neal Parke is the editor of Zoë Akins's Essays on American Poetry (Susquehanna University Press, 1994) and author of Samuel Johnson and Biographical Thinking (University of Missouri Press, 1991), Biography: Writing Lives (Prentice Hall, 1996, reprint Routledge, 2002) and Other People's Lives: Poems (BookMark Press, 1994). She teaches and writes on British and American Literature of the mid-eighteenth century to the present, with special emphasis on women writers, life writing, and film adaptation of literature. Her teaching awards include a William T. Kemper Award for Teaching Excellence and an Alumnae Anniversary Award for contributions to the education of women. Education Selected Publications
