Peter Ramey

Peter Ramey is a doctoral candidate at the University of Missouri with an emphasis in Medieval Literature, Oral Tradition and Folklore. He has completed an M.A. thesis examining the origins and new directions of studies in Oral Tradition and is currently working on a study of medieval and hip-hop poetics for his doctoral dissertation. His research interests include hip-hop, Old English and Middle English prosody and figurative systems, and the interface between literary and oral arts. He is on the editorial staff of Oral Tradition, a journal edited by John Miles Foley.
